Any Irish bookies paying 7 places, in their stores? (not online)

Nope. Befair sportsbook are the only ones doing seven places.

Will Hill have boosted McIlroy to 8/1. 25 quid max.

Is he? I haven't paid much attention to him in a long long time but I never found him much use myself.

Probably more so for the US tour events I have got some nice e/w money back from his outsiders tips, Russell Henly last year won at a big price aswell I do suppose its hit and miss when it comes to tipping golf in general.

Ben Coley from SportingLife is fairly decent aswell

Palmer picked Rory, Dustin, Ryan Palmer, Woodland and Casey.

Chapman picked Dustin, Scott, Walker, Casey Holmes.

Ben Coley Day, Scott, Mickelson, Fowler.

I do enjoy Ben Coley I must admit and Chapman is OK too. I don't mind Palmer but its just if you wait to back on Wednesday and you back his picks the price is usually gone which is annoying.

Nearly have my other selections done. Just deciding will I add one more or not.

    Outright
    Speith
    Day
    Scott
    Walker

The way I am breaking down the masters the last ten years is you need course form and you have to be a long hitter. Added to that you have to be in good form (win or multiple top 10s preferably) the current year and be in the top 20 in the world. This might be a bit of a simplified version but I think it holds a lot of water in the Masters. I do think Rory if he plays to his zenith will win but at 5/1 or 11/2 he’s a crazy price. Tiger used to be able to justify that sort of price in his heyday but I can let Rory win at 5/1 here to be honest. you’d have to be putting a nice amount on him and I’d rather just put a few bob on a couple of other lads.

I know in masters past that a few guys from left field have won but I do think that it will be one of the more established stars doing the business. All of the above players have finished in the top 10 in a previous masters, every one of them have a victory this year (except for Scott but he has 4 top 5s this year and a green jacket to his name) and are in form at the minute. Walker is coming into this off the back of a win and last year on his first attempt he came T8. Speith is the hottest golfer on the planet right now and he’s got back to back seconds in his last two events on top of a win this year. He could have won last year but for finding the drink close to home when he had Bubba rattled. All four guys drive the ball in or around 300 yards consistently and I think that will be key this year as the weather might make the course play even longer.

    Outright- Day
E/W - Horschel, Snedeker, Kuchar and Schwartzel.

    Right finally done.

Speith 10/1 and Dustin 16\1 win only
    Walker 22\1 and Reed 35\1ew
My 2 outsiders are Ryan Palmer 90/1 and Russell Henley 100/1

Few small bet on FRL all ew
Adam Scott 28s, Justin Rose 40s, Ian Poulter 66\1, Villegas 150\1

Miss Cut double on Langer 5\6 and Tiger 6\5. Tiger record speaks for itself but I still have doubts to if he is this good at minute.

Good luck to everyone this week. Let's hope we make some cash.

Victor Dubission , reed and lowery all e/w ....tiger for 1st rd leader @40/1...
Can't see tiger keeping the pace for 4 days first outing back but he could very well get off to a good start.!

Walker 3pts ew @ 33/1 and 3pts win at 37/1 (both placed before he won 2 weeks back). My main fancy- in great form, knows how to get it done, did well here last year and should have the tools to do well again. Being paired with Tiger a slight negative.

Garcia 1.5pts ew @ 45/1 Not been in great form this season but had a great year last year and contended in the majors. In one way he wouldn't have been one I would have expected to back, but 45/1 is too big a price for me so I couldn't refuse it.

Langer 0.5pts ew @ 400/1 Despite his age he can still mix it with them, Watson showed it's possible for the oldies to contend in the open and he has had good showings here the last 2 years.

Casey 1.5 pts ew @ 66/1 Seems to be getting back to his best recently, playing good solid golf and has 2 top 10s and an 11th at augusta.

Day to finish top 5 4 pts @ 3/1 Always there or thereabouts and felt there was a bit of value in the top 5 market.

PP enhanced for there to be playoff 3 pts @ 10/3 So many playoffs already this season and 2 of the last 3 masters have gone to a playoff.

Mickelson 0.5 pts ew @ 28/1 Legendary around here and showed a bit of form last week in Texas. 28/1 is too big a price imo.

Snedeker first round leader @ 40/1 Good course and recent form but not sure if he has it in him to get it done on Sunday

Palmer first round leader @ 70/1 Same reasoning as Snedeker

GL all, I know I've way too many bets placed this week but I don't really mind.

Edit - For me there is very good value in the each way market for the Masters - much smaller field with only about 50 - 60 live contenders, yet bookies still paying 6 and even 7 places. Not a week for betting win only I think.

Have also added Geoff Ogilvy to miss the cut at 11/10..last bet...I swear!

I love the masters. Backed way too many myself but I still remember when I had a few quid on Cabrera when he lost the playoff to Scott a few years back and it was such a rush having someone with huge odds in contention right at the end. Main bets are on walker Scott casey and horschel with a small bet on Cabrera cos i love rooting for the guy. Good luck to all. Here's hoping that heading into the back 9 on Sunday we still don't have a f*cking clue who will be wearing the green jacket!

I'm putting quite a lot of my funds on DJ win only!

Also putting small side bet on Kaymer e/w

    Right finally done.
Miss Cut double on Langer 5\6 and Tiger 6\5.
There are worse 3/1 shots out there - looks a good bet.
Can't see Tiger just going out there and playing well.

I reckon Tiger will make cut, he seems far more relaxed than other years and claims he has finally sorted out his release! Best of luck

Vilegas seems to be shortening like mad.

Backed him at 300/1 at 4pm and he's into 66/1 already

Solid start with Rose getting place in FRL. He was only small bet but small few quid up in that market.

If it stayed this way Sunday I be happy
