Going to give Golf betting a miss for few weeks and recharge the batteries a little. The Players is only 2 or 3 weeks away so looking forward to summer months.

Biggest stake this year coming up.

I have supreme confidence in Dustin Johnson this week. Only 8/1 but I don't care. Dustin will soon be favourite most weeks so 8/1 and shorter will be the norm.

He has been playing superbly since he has come back on tour. He had an awful opening round 2 comps back (+6 I think) and kept his head down to finish top ten. That shows where his head is at.

He then played very well to finish top ten at the Masters considering I don't think that course suits him very well. This week he'll have a lot of short approaches on the par 4's and will kill the par 5's.

I think this is going to be a big year for him and I've been backing him to win his first Major later this year. I don't think 20/1 will be available for long.

In Europe I've gone for Richie Ramsay at 30/1. Still a young guy and a recent winner. The European Tour is low in quality and there has been 2 guys winning 2 tourneys already this season and I'm hoping Richie will make it 3 guys.

I'll be looking forward to watching Steve Stricker this week. What a performance at Augusta considering what he's been through but I've been burnt too many times with guys coming back from injury so I will only have a stakes saver on him.

Wheelbarrows ready for next Monday morning !!!!

Uihlein looked very low on confidence despite his high finish last week.

By all accounts accuracy will be needed from the tee box this week. I could nearly rule him out based on that.

Big fan of de Jonge. Winner in waiting.

Gone with Rose win, Tringale ew and Streb ew.

Noren and Van Zyl both ew in China.

Only on Fleetwood this week as he's my captain in the fantasy golf and I usually back my captain pick. Didn't get a chance to get on Aphibarnrat last week and won at 40's :(

I don't want to cry but can't believe he didn't birdie the par 5 7th which was his 3rd last hole.

Final 3 pars were a combined 26 inch tap ins.

He also only birdied one of the par 5's.

Hey ho. I'll always be greedy but if he finished on top alone then I would have nearly been clear on total stakes for the tournament which would have relaxed me for the next 3 days.

Dustin did well today on his first competitive round here. Bogey free and got his eye in. Could go very low tomorrow or Saturday. I'm confident he will put 4 rounds together. Can't say that about many who are up there.

David Howell you bottler. Even forgetting about his collapse on 18, he really started to falter on 13 when he was well in control.

Justin Thomas was a shot or two out of the places but I'll be giving Rickie a wide berth for a while until he's contending again. DJ played solidly throughout without really going on a charge. Good shout on Rose MUFC

All picks should speak themselves really.

What were PP paying out on? Surely only top 4.... did the bet Tuesday.

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,946 ✭✭✭✭PopePalpatine

Yeah, I don't think anyone was doing anything else than that. It pretty much means that if you went each way, your guy has to reach the semis, and I picked Casey. :o
