Thanks for that. Pity he didn't withdraw before the start of play and save me a few quid

More examples this week,on both tours, of players folding quicker than an origamist on coke when in contention.

It's really hard to back winners with such poor winning mentalities on tour.

You can coach what you like but who coaches winning ?

I have gone with some very unoriginal selections this week.

    US
    Dustin and Stanley

    Europe
    weisburger and horsey

    Seniors
    langer and Monty

    Ladies
    park and ko

    I won't be greedy I be happy with 3 winners :-)

Two winners and a refund on Dustin makes for another profitable week.

Really looking forward to the US open this week. Research done and dusted and all.

    7s and 9s I think

Had them in a small double but also got paid on a treble they were in with Dustin.

Small profits overall for the week and already reinvested for next week

Really looking forward to this week's US open and to be honest nobody knows how the course will play or be set up. I have read it can be anywhere between 7000 and 7600 yards. No matter what it is gona be difficult and whoever wins will have to grind and think their way around.

My selections while the prices are available are:
    woods - I know it's a bit crazy
    Moore
    Donald
    Morgan Hoffmann

I might write up my reasoning if I get the chance

On Horschel as well in Tennessee and Harris English. Very close to picking Simpson but maybe keep him for next week instead.

In Austria I kept faith with Chris Wood after I picked him in Ireland where he could have done better. Himself and Tyrrell Hatton over there for me.

Best of luck to all before the big one next week

Nice performance by Wood. Horschel got going a bit too late in the US

there's seniors & womens events this week so doing two e/w yankees

    Europe: Cabrera-Bello 20/1
    US: Mickelson 14/1
    Seniors: Langer/Monty both 8/1
    Womens: Park 6/1

    2 wins, a 2nd, and a 5-way tied for 3rd.
    won't complain about that.

I'm on Snedeker and Jason Day from a few months ago.

Might pick one more on current form.

Will have a flutter on Billy Horschel. e/w 6places. 16/1.
He hasnt missed many cuts this year. Playing well last few weeks.

    Cut '11
    DNP '10
    Cut '09

Fin T8th. No win but gave it a rattle. Final round 65.
Will give him another go this week at 55/1. & Fowler 20/1

Very hard to get away from Speith so I've made him my main bet.

    Smaller stakes on Mickelson.

With it being a new course I think an outsider is likely but Speith just looks the business both mentally and his game is spot on.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,536 ✭✭✭Dolph Starbeam

Mickelson win only and Danny Willett e/w.

It looks like anything could happen so I don't see it being any easy one to predict. Might have a few more bets on Saturday or Sunday when it has taken shape a bit more.

    Good luck everyone.

    Dustin Johnson win only 22\1

    Snedeker 50\1
    Reed 45\1
    Grace 125\1
    Finau 200/1
    All 4 ew

FRL Moore and Putman 66s and 125s both ew.

Might dabble into match bet too.

Gl everyone. Backing Johnson is risky, but at the price he is too big to ignore.

Layed a bit of Woods and Donald back as wasn't entirely happy with the selections.

Have added small bets on snedeker, kisner and dufner

Gone with Mcilroy for the straight up win.

    All each way

    Gone with Mickelson win only

Small ew bets on kisner, casey, walker, matsuyama and horschel.

This major could be a whole lot of fun with the course. Hard to predict. GL everyone

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,751 ✭✭✭Thepoet85

On McIlroy and Spieth straight to win.

Then on Aitken, Rose, McDowell, Kaymer and Fowler each way.

    Good luck everyone.

    Rory spieth wins
    Mickie ew

Jiminez top senior 19/20 with bet 365
Only monty and Janzen to beat

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,025 ✭✭✭skippymac6

Two main bets are Mickelson and Rose for the win.

I've gone each way on Walker, Scott, Day and Koepka.

Like a lad above, Jimenez top senior seems a crazy price to beat Monty and Janzen so I've taken that too.

    Best of luck to all

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,989 ✭✭✭Potential Underachiever

Have a tenner on Speith at 33/1 courtesy of PP new account offer.

Small win only stakes on Scott, Furyk, Matsuyama, Walker

Small E.W on Molinari, Leishman, M.Hoffmann, Martin

Seems like a bit of a lottery so kept the betting relatively small for a major.

    Have gone with

    Snedeker
    Reed
    Na
    Haas
    Dufner

with small e/w bets on Els and Miguel and Hoffmann.

Might add Rose or Phil in play if their odds drift. Don't see any value in 16s at the moment.
