Backed 2 locals both 1/4 to make the cut in a double- Aphibarnrat and Jaidee, had a decent bet and will be shocked if I don't collect.

Job done, slight worry yesterday when Jaidee shot 1 over-still left him in the top 60 and normal service restored today when he shot 4 under.

Not a life changing bet, €400 wins €225 but one of the best odds on bets I have made all the same and far better than losing a modest amount trying to win big.
I have been paying a bit of attention to "make the cut" bets recently and there could be some opportunities there for the future.

Any interest round here with the new year of golf kicking off?

I am contemplating running a log again for the new year. Firstly to keep track of p&l, secondly to add some discipline to my betting again and lastly to see if last time was a flute!

Another thing is Mike Millers spreadsheets are available again which make the research a lot less painful.

For now anyway weather I decided to run the log or not (if I do these bets will be included win or lose)
    Outright
    1pt e/w Snedeker @50/1
    FRL
    1pt win Snedeker @40/1

    Outlay 3pts

    Wow

You don't think that would ever happen do you?

There is a thread on betfair that followed his picks for the past couple of years

Safe to say that you will know when he gets a winner in and then silence when he doesn't

Seems to be the way the Racing Post operate.

I did used to love the Keith Elliot books from years ago, he would put up tips months in advance, so there was no smoke & mirrors like Steve Palmer uses these days

abarkie, is this the thread you're talking about? I've been burned by Palmer's picks a few times myself.

Porteous is currently tied for the lead, if he hangs on Palmer will never shut up. :pac:

    Yes, that's the one

Hasn't been updated as much recently, unless my memory serves me wrongly

If Snedeker wins this weekend I might cry I fought with myself about including him and then the ones I did include I didn't even get a sweat :-(
