Reckon Knox will be out to prove a point this week, generally @81, but only 5pl.
Berger & Hoffman also value around 70-80. A.Scott much safer but only @23 in the Deutsche Bank.

Knox = joint 7th (powers may well have been doing the 7pl, at lower odds)
Berger = started very well, fizzled out like so many others.
    Scott = 4th, placed.
    Hoffman = last.

Rory did very well to win from a slow start 71,67,66,65.
Johnson T8 may well haven been up there if he didn't shoot 75 in R3.

what price was casey at the start of play today?
couldnt get online at the time but wanted to back someone to beat him or either lay him if evens or slightly more

Must have been a few clear at -15, so around & under evens this morning

In a situation like that, went with W/O and still 3pls midday.
It's almost like having 4places in R4, with most of the field disregarded.
Luckily added Rory@9 on to a few accums at 12noon.

Yeah, 1.83 when I checked. Meant to back Rory to overhaul him, but didn't realise they'd be out so early.
Sums up my golf betting this past few months.

Had berger in that tournament mentioned by another poster. Backed walker in 3 of the 4 majors (yip, was sick of him come the pga) and had fowler at 60.0 in the barclays last week.

Good to see it a bit busier here.

This week looks tricky, but gone for:

    KLM Open 2016 - Alexander Levy 60/1 & Peter Hanson 70/1

    BMW Championship 2016 - Phil Mickelson 40/1 & Adam Scott 16/1

E/w Doubles - good luck all

BMW Championship: A. Adam Scott BP @17
BMW Championship: B. A few shops are offering Bubba Watson BP @51
5pl is the most places anyone is offering in this

    KLM Open: A. Mikko Ilonen @46 (SJ & 6pl 1/4)
    KLM Open: B. Raphael Jacquelin @67 (PP & 7pl 1/5)
KLM Open: C. Huizing 200/1 (SJ), may feature on a random mixed luckydip e/w 4fold. not expecting much however.
also 1R leader: Alex Noren @17
also Lucas Bjerregaard 'top20 finish' @8

All of the above are very small stakes selections featuring on a multi-line
mixed batch (mostly e/w) of high-yield, seasonal accums.

Haven't posted here much this year, was doing quite well early season but last few weeks struggling for interest and even some weeks struggling to find someone I want to back.

Just the two for me this week
    Ilonen @40/1
    Kokrak @100/1 (60s frl)

E/w singles and doubles, outright and frl

    Klm
    Stone
    Dunne
    Slattery

    BMW
    Piercy
    Finau
    Grace

All on betfair, I've also backed the above and a few more longshots for 1st round leader, typically I back a few guy who i think are overpriced and won't actually win (generally above 80/1 min) for very small stakes.

Couldn't get a Post yesterday and haven't had time to study, so selections are a bit of a guess this week:

    Porsche European Open 2016 - Alejandro Canizares 33/1 & Bradley Dredge 35/1

    Tour Championship 2016 - Russell Knox 35/1 & Patrick Reed 18/1

    Usual E/w doubles

I don't think I ever made a winning bet in Ryder Cup and nothing much stands out this week either. I probably just back few match bets and doubles

Although I just know I'll do 2-3 ante post bets. I won't be able to help myself

  • Subscribers Posts: 41,645 ✭✭✭✭sydthebeat

Heart ruling the head and I've gone for Europe by 15-13 @ 12s

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,563 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

Thinking of backing Johnson, Speith and Reed for top overall points scorer.

  • Registered Users Posts: 862 ✭✭✭unplayable

DJ or speith us top scorer @4 on PP

I have had a couple beers but that's a great price surely

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,563 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

Thinking of backing Johnson, Speith and Reed for top overall points scorer.

Went with these three and Rose, Kuchar top American Willett to European, Pieters top rookie. Kicking myself for not covering Mcllroy. Piters probably best hope, surprisingly, at this stage.

  • Registered Users Posts: 862 ✭✭✭unplayable

Rose at evens to beat fowler is a great price

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,563 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

    Pieters top rookie.

Before the singles, Pieters was on 3, with Koepka on 2. According to oddschecker, Pieters was round 1/4 for best rookie. Is he not guaranteed at least a tie, and if so should the market not have been closed?

Don't have to worry about this now. Fecker was too good though, wiped out all me other bets..

Had a week off looking at the Ryder Cup, back to normal now, so here goes:

Alfred Dunhill Links Championship - Bernd Wiesberger 20/1 & Branden Grace 18/1

Toshiba Classic - Joe Durant 9/1 & Duffy Waldorf 22/1

    Each way doubles as ever
