its the way it is mate.everyone has favorite golfers and when they win a tornie say oh no hes my player and i didnt have him.but they wud only back him for the majors etc.i think snedeker was fav here about 12/1. he was 50/1 for the last major wasnt he.so u didnt miss out on too much. anytime i back a player in one of these non majors i cant get much on in shop. max for a 20/1 shot id be lucky to get 25 each way.can get more on for the big ones.most paddy power shops i frequent dont allow more than a 500 liability for these tournaments.can get more online if unrestricted tho

I think he was about 12's last time he won. I would have been more than happy with that to be honest.

Get back some lost stake money that I've had on him this season.

I think he was unlucky to be injured at the wrong times this year so ill still give him a shot for the first 3 majors next season.

I thinkin a few on here will agree that I thought this would be his year and it has hurt my pocket. I have no problem getting a good amount on. Just been unfortunate circumstances when I've missed him.

He's by no means my favourite golfer but he's been the best / most consistent over the last 12-18 months.

I think Dustin Johnson is coming along nicely for the final major this year. Available at 40's but mostly 33's fir the final major so if anybody fancies him now may be the time to back him because he may do very well this week at 25/1.

Also having a small stake on Ryan Moore at 80's for this week.

Cabrera at 66/1 seems like a good shot to me. Hasn't played at Firestone the last 2 years but has had a few top 4 finishes there and given his recent form, seems like good value.

It's the kind of tournament Jason Day might do well in. I'm planning to just wait for next week but if I was going for anyone it'd be my boy Day @33/1

I feel like I should throw these up now before odds change drastically for next week.

    USPGA Championship:

    1) Dustin Johnson @ 40/1
    2) Henrik Stenson @ 45/1
    3) Ian Poulter @ 50/1
    4) Webb Simpson @ 70/1

Yep DJ 33/1, Stenson 33/1 & Simpson 50/1 now significantly lower.

A screenshot of those prices taken would help though!

    Simpson is 9/1 on Paddypower

... for the WGC Bridgestone Invitational which began yesterday and where he shot -6 to lead by 1 shot after Round 1.

Scott Piercy @ 100/1... -2 and only 4 shots off the lead, worth a yoyo or two

Tiger in the lead now.. at Firestone after a birdie - eagle - birdie start.

    Anyone else worried? :pac:

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,515 ✭✭✭Hoki

How many make the cut out of curiosity ? Is it the usual amount or less seeing as this is a smaller field?

Fairly sure there isn't a cut. Stand to be corrected of course.
