Really looking forward to this as I have tickets for Sunday :) It's just going to wet the appetite for wanting to play the course that bit more because it's a fantastic designed course.

    The Barclays:

    1) Henrik Stenson @ 20/1
    2) Dustin Johnson @ 25/1
    3) Webb Simpson @ 28/1
    4) Jordan Spieth @ 50/1

Well last week Johnson gave me hope but poor 4th round let him down.

This week both the french players Bourdy and Jacquelin take the eye to win at gleneagles.

In the Us Tour I am opposing Woods, I like Day but I also think blixt is value to go well this week. Simpson will be really popular this week hes due a big round.

Lets say back tiger each way 6 places, in golf there could be 10 players who finish in 6th, would tiger get paid out

****ty way of explaining it but i think you get what i mean

Happened to me last week with Zach Johnson finishing joint 5th with 2 others @ Wydham Championship. Paddy power were paying out on 5 places so as 3 golfers occupied 5th place my stake got divided by 3 and multiplied by the original odds!

    http://www.paddypower.com/betting/betting-guides/bet-settlements-explained-the-dead-heat-golf-betting.html

So if Tiger finished 6th with 9 other golfers your original stake would be divided by 10 and multiplied by the original odds on Tiger!

Anyone know where I can get historical betting odds, I've done a few google searches but no joy?

What a day and what a setting! I need to play this course sometime before winter hits.

That aside, like last week another two just miss out on E/W places. 3 in contention over the weekend had right ol stinkers. Stenson being the most surprising on Saturday. Simpson had his usual awesome one round a week to get into contention and thus, get my hopes up. If he can put together even 3 rounds, he can win one of the final three Fed-Ex Cup events! Followed Spleith around on Sunday for a few holes on the front nine. Hit some great shots but his putter was ice cold.

At least Kuchar didn't win. I really don't like him :D

All things considered, I think I'll stick with Simpson, Stenson and Spleith this week at the Deutsche Bank. Perhaps I'll add one more to that.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,515 ✭✭✭Hoki

Haven't backed anyone in a few weeks but just had a brief look at the odds/form there & have gone for the following.

    Deutsche Bank Open

    Keegan Bradley - 33/1
    Dustin Johnson - 35/1
    Hunter Mahan - 40/1
    Jason Day - 25/1

  • Site Banned Posts: 26,456 ✭✭✭✭Nuri Sahin

A finish like 2 years ago would be oh so great :)

    Deutsche Bank Championship:

    Henrik Stenson @ 28/1
    Webb Simpson @ 28/1
    Jordan Spleith @ 50/1
    Graham Delaet @ 70/1

Latter is with StanJames, best price out of high street books

no idea this week so just going to be boring and
do an ew double on tiger and berger at 7s+16s

extracted from my blog for you guys this week:

    Wales Open

M.A Jimenez 25/1 ladbrokes – Likes the conditions, previous winner in Wales. Has set ambitions on making this a big year to push for Ryder cup spot stands out on the stats.
Joel Sjoholm 125/1 various - Was 8th in this before, has won in lower events down road from here. Coming good again so should out play his price.
Ross Fisher 20/1 betvictor – A 17th at gleneagles last week has him in good order, a poor 4th round the main fall out for him. Was a 6th here last year despite slow play penalty. 3 of his 4 tour wins have come in the UK.
Gregory Bourdy 40/1 various - comes in with 9 consective cuts made. he plays this course each year wiithout fail and has always done well.
