Another rubbish week for me.Was sure Mcllroy had it sewn up today.

He might still win it here. Although its still up for grabs

Ya looking at some of the other scores today just now you have a point.

I actually meant this year overall

I know, just mentioned maybe I was little harsh on him when consider other scores today

was going to do a little e/w double with the above but had spent enough,Pressel in a tie for 5th and Otto in e/w place, disaster in the pga tour but I'm going to stick with kirk, think he will win this year.
added McKenzie @8/1 and Tringale@11/1 to be placed (top 3)

Just took a bit of 130 for this week on Betfair. There looks to be a few shillings for him at a big price,Might even go out further knowing my form with the exchanges. He's 91 at best w/Stan James and as low as 66/1 with a few places so seems like a good price to me.
Have backed a few in the middle of the field already,Decent prices to be expected with such a competitive line-up.

Even though deep down I wont back him looking at Tigers 16/1 price this week is tempting. Yes he might withdraw as easy as anything. His form is awful, but he still a guy who can turn it in a flash..

One bet already

Patrick Reed @ 95 on exchanges.. not matched on place yet.

My tissue had him for around 66/1 maybe 70/1 so very happy to take 95's.

He does not have any past course form, but the course has had some major changes to it from last year so I think course form while still important will be bit more of guessing game this time. 24-32-13-19-1-16 place figures for the year suggest he is more then capable of getting in the mix.

Price is too big for me to ignore imo.

Bit of a d'oh on Kirk,His 66 has drifted out to 80.He's still 130 on the exchanges and I'd say he probably moved out a bit further in the day.

If Tiger wins fair dues but one good round on Saturday isn't enough to merit a bet imo.Bjorn @151 and Dubuisson @67 both e/w look alright,Can see them both coming in.Dubuissons having a great season. He's been in the money more than De Laet and is going off at a much nicer price.I think I'm gonna leave De Laet out even though he's the only guy I've gotten any solid return off yet this year.

Colsaerts @51 looks big to me,Rotten form but the fields fairly weak. Not sure what the greens in Puerto Rico are like either...Gone for Brian Gay there @76 and might take a shot on Byrd @101,Hoping he'll drift a bit first.

• Registered Users Posts: 1,050 ✭✭✭bobwilliams

regarding Kirk, as I've backed him the last few outings I've been following him on shot tracker a lot.
Main problem is he can't buy a putt but he still wasn't far off last week end,i'm thinking of doing Kucher also and I only want to see that smile of his if he wins.

Matt Jones is obvious in the lesser event but short price, the other one that interests me is Robert Streb@66/1

Another great tournament in prospect this weekend.
A few of the guys have both good course form as well as recent form.

My main lads a bit of a price would be

Garcia 20-1
Bradley 28-1
McDowell 35-1 (20-1 last week, amazing what one average tournament does to a price)
Molinari 100-1 (i think he is great value, last 3 years his form is 28-13-3, last years 28th included a opening round of +6!!)

Its a pity Stricker (50-1) has hardly played this year as his course form is 2-8 for the last 2 years. Just think he would be too rusty...

Whats happened to Henrik Stensons form too? Playing awful these last few weeks.

Cadillac World Golf Championships

Garcia @ 20/1 e/w
McIlroy @12/1 first round leader

Cadillac WGC

DeLaet @ 45/1
Watney @ 66/1

Tempted by a few others but I'm just going to leave it with the two this week.

Ok bets for WGC are done

Adam Scott 15 win only Betfair(BF)
Dustin Johnson 20 win only BF
Keegan Bradley 32 win and not matched on place yet BF
Kevin Streelman 170 BF will place later.

With the course becoming longer and tougher this year good ball strikers I think is the way to go this time around imo. I dont think we be seeing close to -20 winning it this year if the new course designers have anything to say about it.

Adam Scott has nice course form and also 12th is his worst position from last 3 starts. Scott has had 3 top 10s here, including 3rd here last year. This seems to be time of year when Scott seems to play his best now.

Johnson has to come into it with his length now going to be big advantage. 2nd here in 2011 and with two 2nds in past few weeks can maybe go 1 better this time.

Keegan Bradley is another guy with very good course form with 7-8 past 2 years. His coach Jim Mclean is the head pro at Doral so I think he is guy who be well prepared for this week.

My outside bet is Kevin Streelman. Only played here once when 15th and although his form has been bit patchy the past few weeks he still making cuts and won on Paddys day last year. Has had a 3rd to his name only couple months ago so I think he can go well at nice price.

I know, there's so many jumping off the page.
I've gone Streb@50/1
Richard Lee @80/1
Mallinger @100/1
All e/w

I really fancy the two Matt's this week so a small double across the card Matt Jones and Matt Kucher also

• Registered Users Posts: 2,911 ✭✭✭bradlente

With Gay pulling out of Puerto Rico I'm gonna try Chad Collins @190 on Betfair,66/1 with a few bookies but that will probably drop out like Kirk.Bit of a shot in the dark as he's generally been pretty poor lately but he did finish T10 in 2010 here.I don't know who in their right mind would back him @66/1 though!
John Rollins is another floating on the exchanges at a massive price,Up around 290.He should be nowhere near the yardstick come Sunday but with the average quality in the field I'll give him a chance.Probably a waste of money though,I don't think he's ever made the cut here.

Problem with Rollins is he literally hits every shot a fade,it interests me that he's missed the cut every time so I'm assuming it's a drawers course....or maybe he just doesn't like course.Worth a pop at that price though.

If I hadn't already wasted a bet on Rollins I'd follow you and take the 130+ going on Betfair now.

He looks to be taking a half-decent attitude with him anyway.

Paddys. Saw they have a three hole rule. That's v annoying, esp cause have him in doubles! Ah well, Hugo to win
3 hole rule, you might be lucky so.

Never knew this! I should get my stake back on Oosthuizen last week so?

think I might have spent my allowance but couldn't resist 1 more bet.
The Chile Classic(Web.com tour)
Local native Benjamin Alvarado has to be worth at least a fiver, missed cut last week but great form here, the altitude can be a bit of a problem so local knowledge counts for a lot.
backed him @33/1 today,he's 28/1 in powers.

Hi

Puerto Rico - C Stroud 20/1 & B Stuard 28/1

WGC Cadillac - H Mahan 35/1 & K Bradley 28/1 (lets hope he a better final round than last week)

Enjoy all

Have done Casey Wittenberg in the Chile classic @ 100/1

Was web.com player of the year in 2012 earning a main tour card for last year.
He's proven at this level and 100/1 looks too big to pass up.

• Registered Users Posts: 508 ✭✭✭Johnny86

Went a bit crazy on the bets at the WGC - this is what I've done!

WGC
Woods - 14
Bradley - 28
G Mac - 40
Molinari - 100
All win bets - Paddys allowing cash-out on the Golf now.

J Donaldson 80/1 1st round leader e-w - gets off to great starts I find.

Top 10 bets on
F-dez Castano 11/1
Castro 10/1
Woodland 5/1
Dubuisson 9/2

Must check that out

I'm pretty sure they are anyway...there was something about it yesterday when I was putting my bets on the outright markets for the WGC. Previously I tried to use betfair cash-out in golf on the sportsbook for an each-way bet and they said they couldn't process it...only straight win bets.

Bit late to the party but I will post up some picks for the Cadillac Event

Ryan Moore 66/1 various- Good off the tee and one of the best for GIR %. His game could well come up trumps here and has two wins over past two years to his name. Small best of my five this week however, given his lack of a major top 5.

Harris English 35/1 various- Has wins to his name and a wonderful ball striker. He is not far off being a top 10 player with his skill sets.3 tops 10s already this year only matter of time before he comes good on a big stage.
