I usually pick 4 guys. Have dustin johnson and jason day backed at 40s already. Day is an automatic for majors. He makes me money. Two more tomorrow kuchar and was thinking ricky fowler. Any insights into fowler?

If Snedeker and Dustin win I might just cry and give up golf betting after finally deserting them this week

I'm now going to increase my stake on Dustin.

I did increase my outright stake on DJ and have done him and Kuchar for 1st round leaders for added interest.

Have done alright the last few majors picking Bubba to win Masters, Duffner to win USPGA and Rose last year. However I don't think I had a top 20 in the US Open so hopefully I can improve on that! Going for three of the "Higher" ranked guys and then one outsider this week...

Henrik Stenson -- Has been knocking on the door for awhile now and this might be his week.
Adam Scott -- Ultra consistent player and has form at previous Opens.
Graeme McDowell -- Good battler and in decent form after his win in France.
Brendon Todd -- Debut at the Open this week but he's been playing well enough this year to maybe sneak a place.

Had winners of last three Majors going back to last year's PGA so going for my own "Slam" :D Although I have never managed to pick the winner of the Open so the dream may die.

Have backed the following who were all top price with Ladbrokes yesterday paying six places and a return as free bet up to €12.50 e/w or €25 win should any miss the cut.

    Thomas Bjorn 2pts. e/w @ 66/1
    Paul Casey 2 pts. e/w @ 66/1
    Jason Dufner 1 pt. e/w @ 100/1

Will add two more before tee-off if I can get the top price

Ladbrokes are going best industry price on all of the top 8 players in the betting this morning. Only 6 places e/w but good value if you fancy any of the favourites.

Won't offer any tips myself because my recent record in The Open is absolutely abysmal. Was my favourite betting tournament for many years in the heyday of Watson/Norman/Faldo but the cream does not seem to float to the top any more, the way it used to. Delighted for Mickelson last year, though.

The final insult, for me, was Darren Clarke winning in 2011. I had always thought of him as a likely Open winner (and backed him several times) but gave up on him (in 2008 or so) and decided he had missed his chance. Actually, on that basis, Thomas Bjorn (70/1) must have a great chance this year!

Rory and Gmac for me! 28/1 on McDowell seems a fair enough price bet365

Gone for Shane Lowry & Rickie Fowler this week

    Good luck everyone

Have Fowler (44) and Spieth (50) win only.

Jaidee 125/1 E.W Top 6, money back if he misses the cut.

Also Have Lowry 125/1 and Harrington 175/1 both E.W Top 6, just to be patriotic.

Took Kaymer at 22/1 , tenner on to get a tenner free bet in play, so will add someone else when it starts.

    Good Luck.

    All small, all e/w:

    Fowler 33/1
    Day 40/1
    Donaldson 66/1
    Lowry 66/1
    Larrazabal 125/1
    Jaidee 125/1
    Broberg 150/1
    Hoey 150/1

    Coetzee 1st round leader 125/1

If Hoey wins after backing him the past two weeks, I'll shed a tear or down a bottle of bourbon.

Interesting to see Rose odds increasing, while Scott and Stenson are shortening.

    Added 170 ew on woods
and 170 ew on kaymar , need to step away from PC now end up with half the field backed

I fear Woods not been covered

Anyone here make profit on Golf?

    Who did you back?

Posted last night Day and Dustin Johnson. Took Kucher and Kaymer today. Nearly went fowler but I pick four minimum odds of 28/1 and if one places break even, more than one or a winner profit. Simple but keeps me slightly up..... and by up id hardly call it profit but the stake for next major.

Yes 7 places e/w is ridiculous value

I dunno youve backed so many that youd need two to win make profit.

Just worked it. One winner will do.
