Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Science based work in NZ?

    Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience in the science industry in NZ? Either academic or industry? Is it a good market at the moment or is it closed? I've heard anecdotally that jobs tends to go to home grown applicants preferentially as they get tired of filling posts with people who hang about for a yr or two before leaving to go home?
Also, I'm over 30 (...just!) and miss most of the yr long tourist working visas that can be availed of, if I went over for three months as a holiday job hunting, would I have to return home to apply to stay on if I found a job or can sponsorship be initiated from that?
Sorry if there is a ton of similar stuff already posted, and thanks for any and all info you can get back to me!!
