Thinking of Studying Computing is the maths for computing difficult?!

I am really interested in doing a computing degree next year in NCI and I am awful at maths, I have had difficulties with it since I ever started school,

I done foundation in the LC and even found that too difficult, although I was quite good at calculus for some reason.

I don't want this one thing to hold me back so any experience or information on what the standard for maths is like in a computing degree would be great

    Cheers!
    Dale.

If you are not very good at maths then yes it is.
Have you checked if maths is a requirement for entry?
    Take a look @ http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-042j-mathematics-for-computer-science-spring-2010/index.htm

it will give you an idea of the type of maths.

Maths was my downfall in college too.

I was crap at maths too, but to be honest when I got into NCI and started computing, you do maths only for 1st year.
And it's basic stuff like Truth tables, matrixes and there is few other things which can be learned in an hour. I didn't find it hard.

I wouldn't say it's too hard. I'm only at the end of year one. Went to maths support before exams and passed easy.

I personally find Object Oriented Programming to be my least favorite subject. Between work, college and not having a PC at home (mine died), I'm ready to shoot myself :D
