Like squirrels out of hibernation, MHs are appearing from the winter slumber! I've hardly ever had as much bookings in the diary, and other mates in the trade tell me similar stories. So what's all ye're plans Folks, It seems st.Patricks weekend is when you are getting excited and want to (re)start camping ?

Heading off in the morning to Wicklow until Monday. Just a short spin to start off with, to see how everything is ticking over and find out what totally obvious things I've forgotten to replace or pack.

Been away a bit the last couple of weeks. Working though, not in the van unfortunately. Really noticed a huge increase in the number of motorhomes on the M50 driving back from the airport today. A bit like the daffodils, it's a sign that Summer is on its way. Bring it on !!!

Forgot to pack the wellies and first aid kit. Wellies left in the back of the car, and thankfully no need for the first aid kit that was left sitting on the hall table waiting to be packed. A leak in one of the skylights and a dodgey sensor on the fresh tank to fix. First weekend is always tough in this weather but 2 nights down, it's the best.

We have our first trip next week for 4 nights. This is the earliest we have been away in this country so it will be interesting to experience the colder weather. We will be on the Cork coast so hopefully it will be the warmest part of the country. Other than that the weather should be fantastic with little rain or wind forecast.

The caravan is scrubbed and polished inside and out, had it serviced last week so just need to replace the gas and pack up and we'll be ready to go.

It was great to be away for a few days and we had our first experience of snow in the caravan. No problems with either gas or water in the cold weather thankfully. This was the what we woke to on Tuesday morning.

Motorcaravanning can be different in many places once you leave home. Dont worry about the cold. You can wrap up.
