Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What is the model of those beats - in ear or overhead?

Unfortunately the 3 in Dundrum don't have the beats headphones (this was a special promo that had been running so not all the stock left have the beats headphones attached).

After all of that I decided to pass on purchasing the x as I think the wife would prefer the slightly smaller s version so there are still 3 out in Dundrum if ur quick.

Can anyone who already has picked up an x confirm if its locked to vodafone?

Mine [without Beats] is locked to Vodafone.
Also, the three left in Dundrum have been reserved by people so they're unavailable.
I'd recommend people to phone [<< verb] shops in advance to check stock and reserve them.

    These are the earphones.

is it only the 'X that has the earphones or is there any chance the 'S might come with?

The One X is coming up as 199 online (400 euro discount) and I'm at the checkout.

Is this a joke or one of those "we messed up, you can't have it for that price" occurances?

    It's neither. Buy it.

When CPW outlets have a few phones left of a model that's being discontinued and isn't selling, they do a recall and the outlets send the phones back to HQ/"the warehouse" and they're sold online. That's where the new stock on the website has come from.

There's no mention of Beats on the website though, so you could get it with or without them. Still worth it either way though.

Others have got it for that price AFAIK..

    .. so yep, it's a go-er!

Would pick it up if I didn't already have a Beam waiting at home waiting to be unlocked.

Just got off phone will a chap in Citywest, none left there.

Said there were 2 left in Blackrock and 3 in Dundrum. Didn't ask about the rest of the country. Would've been a panic buy for me and can't really afford it right now so closed out the online purchase. Ah well!

    I jsut got a ONE X online.

I'll have a ONE S spare if anyone wants it.
I'm going to cancel it over the weekend.

Cant seem to find any link for getting the One X sim unlocked,

looks a lovely phone though so far :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 152 ✭✭fast_eddie

I got the last one in Blanchardstown at lunchtime, no Beats headphones included.

PS and it's NOT Sim-locked - I just tested with an O2 micro-SIM that I have and it worked fine. Happy days!

Whats going on here? Do they just randomly bargain them off or whats the story ? Can you get them in store or just online ?
    Thanks

Which is looking likely. None in-stock in Swords :(

Tried Headford Road store and they said none of the Galway stores have them. Might save someone a journey.

Ordered a One S online. Hopefully I get it! Mothers Day and birthday present sorted!

How good is the One X? Don't really need a new phone but if this a good bargain I'd pick one up. Is the screen prone to scratches and how easy is it to unlock?

It is not as good as the Samsung Galaxy S3, but not by much.

    Some reviews even prefer it

  • Registered Users Posts: 539 ✭✭✭shreddedloops

    Just ordered on CPW.

Have to say I'd never even looked into the One X but... wow.

    Seriously good bargain.

It goes in-and-out-of-stock.. best just to keep an eye on it, and be quick!

It's also available in some stores.

    I just ordered a One S - Superb bargain!! :)

For those that have them already, they aren't locked to Vodafone at all are they?? When ordering online you had two options, new connection or upgrade. I went for New Connection as I am with Meteor I wonder will that make a difference whether it's unlocked or not?? Should I have ordered the Upgrade option I wonder??

    Through the normal link.

Id say there must of been only a 15min or so window when it showed stock.

I literally finished ordering 10mins ago.

That link there is the one telling me there out of stock..and the one on the first post on this thread isn't working at all.

    Dying to get the X .. :)

At a guess, I think that some stock comes available when a timeout elapses and the phones that people have in their CPW online shopping basket are returned to a status of available..

beware of dirty lurkers, picked up the last one x in the ifsc branch at lunch, buyers remorse yet to sink in

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,478 ✭✭✭✭cson

So the One X is only available in store if they have it in stock?

And the One S drops in and out of stock from time to time?

    Have I got that right?

Working in the IFSC and would have dropped down after work to pick up the One X if it hadn't been for the post above me. :(

Dying to get a good bargain smartphone for €100-€200.

Sorry for going off topic, but I was considering one of the phones mentioned here before this deal came up. So if you dont get the HTC, you might consider the imported phone a good alternative.

It seems the One X is dropping in and out of stock also.

It was when I ordered mine anyway.
