Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm only surprised it's not down more. Chronic shortage of jobs, poor pay and erosion of conditions.

Is this an unintended consequence or all part of the plan?

The efforts of sections of the media to run the profession into the ground are paying off it seems. The 'status' of the profession as an honourable and upstanding career has been under attack for years by people with a soapbox. Their own negative experiences give perceived justification to a campaign of misguided and grossly inaccurate BS such as 'shur they're overpaid and work half days and have 6 months holidays'..

Am also surprised its only down 8% - would have thought more too. I had a child tell me recently her first choice is teaching in my subject area - whilst I smiled and asked all the questions, inwardly, I was thinking 'why?'

I wouldn't have thought so because the only 'plan' there seems to be, is to take in as many fools as possible, take their money, churn 'em out and wash their hands of any moral responsibility to either ensure the course is credited by the TC or to ensure corses are not oversubscribed.
