Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My lord. And for the first time this season a defender is following it up to clear it out.

United were atrocious for a good hour of that game!! Very disappointing.

You really would sell that DE Gea fella.

    Yea sell him.

Worst second half performance this season, shocking. I'd give Valencia a 0.

I'll take that after an atrocious second half showing. Lucky lads.

Should have won that! United lucky in the end to get the replay.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,844 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

Chelsea the better team by far, regardless of Uniteds start and chances in the first half.

Evans and Cleverley were poor. Evans did okay first half but he was awful second half.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Well done to Chelsea. Pity the game ended there though; going on that last half hour, there was only going to be one winner.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,329 ✭✭✭Manc-Red

United fell into that trap of thinking a 2-0 lead at half time was enough against Chelsea.

Big mistake..... Lucky to be in the draw tonight tbh

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,222 ✭✭✭✭Will I Amnt

That was fairly pathetic. Just gave up possession constantly from start to finish. Rafael and Cleverley were a disgrace with their clearances and passes. A team with better forwards would have walloped us.
Probably our worst performance at Old Trafford this season.

Valencia and Rafa were shocking absolutely shocking.

    United should count themselves lucky.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,844 ✭✭✭✭Nalz

    What did Ferdinand do?

tapped Torres with his foot at the back of his ankle and nudged him to the ground...cheeky kick out to be honest. If the ref saw it he might have went. Then picked Torres up and get him a mouthful. I wonder what Torres did to deserve that? Probably nothing.

United very lucky to get a replay.

Absolutely. I think Carrick and maybe De Gea are the only two players I wouldn't criticise.

Gutless is the best description I can come up with. I hope Fergie ****ing sows it into them in that dressing room. Unacceptable father lack of effort and application.

Chelsea were nearly as bad in the opening of the second half so fair ****s to youse for turning it around.

I'm actually dispondent after that non display from Utd.

Any idea when the replay will be on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,086 ✭✭✭markc1184

I hope Nani's injury is nothing serious. Valencia has been poor once too often now. Needs to be dropped for a few weeks. Cleverly done nothing but sky a shot and give the ball away.

De Gea for #MUFC preserves Sir Alex Ferguson's amazing record, in nearly 39 years as a manager, of never having lost after being 2 goals up

Rafa for a full time contract hazard and mikel settled the team and made the play alot better.

Hazard's goal was of the highest quality - superb

Not exactly an amazing record. No team should ever lose after being 2 up.

Looking at that second goal again what the **** was Evra at jogging back not bothering his arse? Disgraceful attitude.

Quite possibly - I wouldn't be taken the quality of the goal away from home though either way

Depends on whether Chelsea get past Bucharest, I would imagine. If they do, probably the semi-final date. If not, April 2/3.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

I'm not the least bit surprised the performance picked up once Lampard went off and Mikel and Hazard came on. We had far more balance. However it's the character of the Chelsea side that deserves credit today, a stirring fightback.

The whole first half all we heard was how we were missing Terry's leadership, in the second half David Luiz stepped up to the plate, an awesome display from Brazil's first choice centre back.

Eden Hazard lit up OT when he came on, there are few more talented players in the Premier League, he was sublime.

Mata, Mikel and Oscar were all excellent too. It says quite a bit about this team that I'm a bit disappointed that we haven't won the game.

With this group of players, with a couple of signings and a few returning from loan and the right manager I think this is a group capable of challenging for the Premier League in the next season or two.

I've been watching the Limerick game since HT, but Mata was the outstanding Chelsea player from about 25-30 minutes inetting them into it.
