Success in Tesco this evening searching with my daughters to complete the collection . Picked up last 6 @€;2.53 each with no duplicates. Got Ron, Dean, Harry in Invisibility cloak, Malfoy, Cedric and Luna, Had checked nearly two boxes before I found Harry as the last one! Nearly an expert at this stage!

Anywhere in Europe that do Lego Brickheadz? I heard they 'retired' (Lego website). I know some people found them too difficuly to make, maybe this is why.

My daughter is looking for Lego Brickheadz Newt Scamander, would prefer to pay standard prices, not about €38 https://www.ebay.ie/itm/223277402507

Check your nearest Easons, always seem to have loads and sometimes on special. Also tesco sometimes at reduced price. The lego online store still have a few for sale too, not the one you want though.

Found the same deal but, being January, couldn't stretch to completing the sets for them. Tried to feel my way through a box or two and successfully identified Voldemort and Luna which were two our kids were missing. Some are a lot easier to figure out than others!

Thanks. Managed to get the Harry Potter one, which she wants too.

My little lad got his first technic set the other day. It’s a total shock to his system- he’s 7, and was getting no value out of the Lego city and JW ones he got for Xmas, he had them put together in no time. I’ve had to go back to Lego supervision, it’s just too much hassle to find a mistake he made 20 steps ago, so now we’re back bonding over bricks!

For those unaware, the sets below will now be fine tuned and modified somewhat so wont be released exactly as above.

I'm disappointed it wasn't the Space X ones to go along with the Saturn V.

They will need to significantly increase the size and detail of the Steamboat Willie one, and cut the Friends one in half at least.

Meh on all three. The only one of the recent crop I had any interest in was the Fiat 500.

Agreed, 3 complete turds, it would take 5minutes to find better options than those on Ideas.

Absolutely. I’ve got all the Creator vehicles so far. I’d love to see them expand into other vehicles, could be challenging but definitely some interesting building techniques possible. Perhaps a classic Motorbike, or even a bicycle.

  • Registered Users Posts: 519 ✭✭✭CSSE09

Hopefully have it sometime next week, can't wait to see it next to the rest of the sets. Space is a big problem for me, need to find a nice display case (any suggestions welcome), I have a lot of the creator cars alongside the large technic car sets. Hard to get something to suit the technic sizes.

I use the Ikea Billy Bookcases with 2 glass shelves at the top and one of the cheap LEDBERG LED spotlights to downlight them

    https://www.ikea.com/ie/en/products/storage-furniture/bookcases/billy-bookcase-white-art-00263850/ - €45
    https://www.ikea.com/ie/en/products/storage-furniture/bookcases/billy-extra-shelf-glass-art-10286752/ - €15
    https://www.ikea.com/ie/en/products/lighting/integrated-lighting/ledberg-led-spotlight-white-art-80400928/ - €6

Comes to €66 for a display that'll hold a lot of LEGO!

Finally got round to sticking the Ikea Donkey Kong minifig shelf up. Plenty more space for more figs on there, but they are currently strewn across various places. Will have to get more of those mini shelves though.

Finally finish the Falcon, I wasn't sure where I'd keep it, until I realised I could fit it under my coffee table.

    This is it https://www.harveynorman.ie/furniture/occasional-furniture/coffee-tables/marco-coffee-table.html

Pretty sure I got it for 100 on sale..

I needed to raise the set up three blocks to fit, I'm going to get some bits to make it look like it's sitting on mounds of each. I had to take the comms dish off too

Not sure if anyone is interested, I'm selling my display cabinets from IKEA. Perfect for Lego, my wife's collection got too big. Will do better pricing for boardsies :)
