Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just ordered myself 100 memorial cards for 99 quid, which was literally more than half the price the local printers had me quoted. So I thought I'd share cuz it was for a limited time only offer. heres the link if anyone wants it

The newsagents have some stiff competition here! Could be the last nail in the coffin for local memorial card sales!

Paying anything more than this price would be a R.I.P. off.

Do you think they'd undertake printing just one as a sample until I'm deadcertain about them? Think of it as a re-hears(e)al.

Rather be sure than waste good money and end up burying my head in the sand when another bill arrives. Things are grave enough as it stands, don't wan't Mrs. iPhone to lose the plot altogether with me :D

OP, What is your connection if any with this business that you have linked to?

And you say "The dearer printers are just a dead loss. These guys are a dead cert...."

Can you clear this up for me as soon as you can.
    Thanks.

No connection Im afraid, my grand aunt passed away and I had to sort out memorial cards for the family, thought it was a good price.

As for the line - was adding a pun! to the many clever ones that people came up with.
    why?

    Q= "why"
A= This had looked like a shill to me.

I read your previous posts in other threads where you say you are a Graphic Designer and were in the process of setting up your own business.

Ok I'll take your word on this and be happy that your post was from an ordinary enthusiastic customer of the Graphic Design company you linked to.
And you have no affiliation to this Company.

    Thanks again.

How much more than half the price? 60% 95%?

  • Registered Users Posts: 42 smg2013

The local printers where I live were 230euro for 100 memorial cards. I always try and buy local, but they were just too expensive and my family had given me a budget.

You fill in the name yourself and there is a slot/cutout on the front of the card to insert a standard sized photo of the person.:D

Well its a bargain alert thread and I posted a bargain alert on this thread.

A photo print costs a around 15 cents per print so couple that with 2 cards for 1 euro and it works out at 65 cents per memorial card.

    Thats a bargain.:D

    Are you a moderator????:pac:

Stop making issues out of nothing for the sake of it and amuzing yourself..

Try actually posting some bargain alerts/threads yourself......for a change

    "Are you a moderator????"
    Answer; No I ain't.
    Neither are you.

Maybe one reason for the bullying and ignorant ridicule towards me could be...
is that you are "amuzing" yourself.

The following posted on boards.ie by "paddy147" on 04/03/2013;-

"Everyone has a right to post here....and to voice their opinion too."

    Hollow words indeed.

    8 posts in 21 months......

So we should all be blessed that you posted here...even though you have posted nothing but pointless posts here, and gone off on a stupid pointless agenda here against the OP for no reason whatsoever.:(

Cop yourself on.......try actually posting some "Bargain Alerts" yourself for a change, instead of making up stupid/pointless issues with other people who actually do post Bargain Alerts.

Just to get this BA back on track, i've had cause to use Craft Tree twice in the past 2 months (unfortunately) and apart from the price (which is excellent from what i've seen), their customer service is very good too.
The way you pick the various elements of the cards is a lot easier than most other sites i've been on and the quality of the printing is excellent.
