"Three o'clock is always too late or too early for anything you want to do"

The one with the guy on the bike being chased by the dogs is...

    Goran Bregovic - Pit Bull

    Its a great tune.

I was talking to a guy in Guinness Marketing yesterday. He said he'd try and find out for me. He also told me that they were planning on releasing an 18's version of that Oyster ad, where that girl was topless. They changed their mind though. Wonder will they ever bring out a DVD of Guinness ads with all the uncut bits ?

Look at what the stupid mofo gave me as a reply, cupid stunt.
"Hello again....this is the reply from the Guinness Archives:-

This is a Guinness television commercial shown in Ireland only from late
June 1999 onwards. I'm afraid I don't have any information about the music
used in the commercial. You could try contacting the advertising agency
which made the commercial, HHCL & Partners, Kent House, 14-17 Market Place,
    Great Titfield Street, London NW1 7AJ tel 020 7436 3333.

    Best regards,"

Ive looked for the HHCL website but its unfindable, tis really starting to **** me off now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,621 ✭✭✭Panda

    SUCCESS...
Well kinda, ive found a contact number for HHCL&partners(the advertising company that did the infamous ad for Guinness)
Its an English num tho and ull prolly need the country code and itll prolly cost a bomb.

    Tel 020 7436 3333.

I had a listen to the original version and it sounds spot on.

Got it downloaded, rocking good tune, bit less bass might be good but what the hell smile.gif Gotta get some more of their tunes now to see if they are any use.

I recommend Elysian Fields (not the metal band) to anyone who like this or Portishead - great stuff.

Right got some of their other stuff down and they are v good, deffo recommended for that Portisheady/Elysian Fieldsey groove, man smile.gif

I have now leached the entire album and it gets my Official Seal of Approval. NOw to order from Amazon before the Metallica police kick my door in and haul me off.

    FÚCKING YES BABY!

    Got it!

    12 Rounds - "Pleasant Smell"

Very kind marketing type from that agency let me know over email!

    The search is finally over.

I would like to thank various people who have really helped along the way of this thread in search of this one song...

Castor Troy, for his constant yearning for this song and keeping the thread alive since May of last year.

Jevlon, for the complete list of Guinness songs, (aprat from the only one we wanted!)

Pretence, for the wild 'Portishead' goose chase, WTF?

Kento-Shiro, the boy who promised the Holy Grail, and helped us on the way there. gave me the lead to dig up their marketing dept email addresses online.

And Canaboid, for the phone call.

And Katie, God bless her, the woman who mailed me the Artist and Song names. I could marry her.

Also, everyone else who has made this thread more bulky with all the other Guinness Ad songs that I couldn't really give a shít about.

Thanks Everyone, Now I have to find a new challenge in life! It's been a great 8 months, Good luck to you all.
