Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Friend of mins has an iphone 4s and since the weekend if refuses to charge, wont sync with laptop, not sure if its an issue with battery or with where the cable connects to.

Shes with vodafone, they dont want to know about it, said it will cost 180 to repair, shes till under contract for 9 months but year warranty is up. She has insurance but they have told her as she hasnt actually broke it by dropping it them they wont replace or cover the repairs for some odd reason. Actually would have been better to lie as opposed to being honest with them it seems!

Anyway my question is does anyone know good repair shops in dublin?

Tell her to try a reset, it might help; hold power & home button for 10 seconds and release when Apple logo appears.

Charging flex probably 50 quid in shop or on eBay for a fiver and do it yourself

Drop phone in the toilet or hit with hammer and break it if she repairs that phone anywhere other then the insurers they won't cover future repairs its generally in the terms and conditions

Shes already told them it just stopped charging, so because she didnt drop it they wont fix it.

Not sure if she rings up now two or three days later claiming it dropped in toilet will work? Too soon??

Make sure the phone is off & check for any lint/cotton/anything blocking/stuck in the usb dock port. If you find anything make sure the phone is off before trying to remove.
