    Just an update.

    I phoned today to order a take away. Mentioned nothing of the incident. They had it logged on their system and offered me a free meal tonight.

    Obviously they didn't have to but I guess it's part of good customer service.

    Fair play to them is all I can say.

    Care to elaborate? I'd say it's just a case of good customer service, they can be guaranteed that I will choose them over others in the future as a way of showing my appreciation.

    +1. Food probably did not cost them as much as it is worth to you, so its a cheap goodwill gesture and gives them a good sound name. I doubt it went to waste anyway, I bet the driver or some other staff member ended up eating it.
