    I thought that pork chop last night was a disaster, John loved it!...I think this girl is a strong contestant though.

    AAAAARGH!!!

    If I hear "I've got so much more to show" or "journey" again I'll go mad! (although in fairness journey hasn't featured too much yet, that's usually later on.)

    Love how the past winners are still in my mind as the nervous contestants, but they then appear back all pompous and confident and demanding.

    I have to say the bar has been raised higher this series, its veering more towards the professional competition. Still very good though.

    Winning has done great things for ones career, apparently.

    They must have had one faller before the off this week, with only 9 contestants.

    There was no surprise to the result, sadly. Well done the two boys.

    Critics and professional chefs already??? How are they going to get 23 episodes out of this without sending them UP Everest to cook (or some similar wheeze)???

    I'm hugely confused, Ted.

    This week was a standard set of tests (invention, palate, professional kitchen, own recipes, critics).

    Next week looks like finals week (full dinner services for critics and starred chefs).

    Next week does look good though. :o

    I never realised Simon Delaney totally ripped that one for the MCI clip at the start of the IFTA's .....
