surveyor/engineer for buying a secondhand house

    looking for general cost of surveyor/engineer to carry out structural survey, anyone got any recommendations and general idea of how much it should cost?

    It will be dependent on the age of the property and the quality of the report. There is a difference.

    the property is a 3 bed bungalow built in the late 70's, early 80's, it has a private well and septic tank.

    do you have any recommendations and a general idea of price?

    Have not done one in a long while would imagine no more than 250 depending on what kind of detail you want, I used to use james Reynolds

    That's about right based on the information given above. However, be specific about what you are looking for. Is there anything in particular you are concerned about? Or is it just a request by your solicitor?
