Any idea how long this cold will last . I'm out of oil and solid fuel and not a bean to heat the house - we are freezing slowly but surely - many like us and not sure how much longer we can all go on like this ....

I called home near Drogheda at 7.30, no snow at the time... It looks like the radar is picking up rather wispy stuff. Don't know what that other poster was talking about!!

Bit of wispy stuff in D15

Unusual development on the radar, not really coming off the sea as such. Has Meath got a snow machine?!

I'd say that 28kt gust knocked over a wheelie bin.

The radar has pepped up quite a bit, pbly coinciding with the colder uppers moving in. Hope that things may get more interesting than many of us first thought. Am suprised the Southeast is so quiet

just waiting in the wings, watching and waiting!!!!!!!;)

First tiny blobs appearing east of Dublin on the radar, hopefully they'll pick up on the next frame!

What has kicked off the ppn over Meath / Kildare ?
Anyone know how are why it suddenly decides to lightly snow in these areas
You would understand it coming in off the coast but for it to kick off inland has me quite bewildered

The weather system doesn't follow the dates we presume to be winter, spring etc. Take a trip up north or across the pond and they have had more snow in the last few days than we have had in our last 2 winters combined!

Anyway nice to see a few wintry showers kicking off fingers crossed its a sign of more.
