Dusting on most surfaces here in Meath, still snowing lightly.

Will go out to get pics if it gets any more substantial.

One wonders looking at the charts this evening when will the North see a thaw.
It doesn't happen in the reliable, in fact the 18z reinforces the cold early next week. Maybe the sun will do the trick by day?!

Nothing here, that strange thing where it skips the coasts but intensifies a tad inland is occurring.

Strange I'm 15k away and although it has been light it hasn't stopped most of the evening.

Heavier again in town now, can see a slight covering on tops of bins and such. Showers aren't lasting any great length though

I've just got home after driving from Blackrock, Dublin to "very" North Meath. Met with light snow in Blanchardstown, Dunshaughlin, Navan and now it's started here too, light covering on shed roof - but again its that bean-bag ball-ey snow (is that "graupel"?)

At least 6 flakes which fell in Dublin city centre there an hour ago. Stop start stuff.

Just arrived in Letterkenny after leaving Drogheda at 8. Snizzle in Drogheda, snow in Ardee, lots of snow falling North of Monaghan. Fields are white just south of Omagh, proper winter wonderland with the moon reflecting off them! Amazing sight! Clear sky up here now, 1.5c. I've had my fix :)

Just stumbled across this topic... Do ye all want is to snow or something??

    If so.... Why?

Should it not be the season of Spring now??

Hush…Be very careful because you’re dealing with a dangerous cult here and they could have you drawn in before you say ‘spring’. I think they are some sort of ancient pre-Celtic religion but maybe it’s just the Masons.

Anyway, I asked the same question as you a few weeks ago and got no useful answer. I don’t care much for snow but watching the snow watchers is great fun. Very serious crowd though so don’t mess with them.
