Not really...it was all pretty green at 7...still the same at 8 but in fairness the wall had a decent coverage of flakes, although the car beside it had zilch, and its in the shade. Roofs are dampish too, they did have a frost though so that's probably why.

Next time :) just not from this easterly :D

Watched the weather last night on rte news.

A few light showers of snow, sleet and hail were forecast for the East coast but to stay mainly dry.

    Accumulations on high ground only.

They get it so horribly wrong again. The East got a dumping last night.

    What a shower of clowns.

I'm getting more and more irritated by the over exaggeration!
    3cm isn't a dumping!
It will all have melted by 11am!
    Relax lads!

A little over a cm here near roundwood. Was covering the drive, but the sun soon put pay to that. Lovely bright morning actually. A few flakes in the wind, and it'd want to cloud over the sun and start again soon to maintain what's lying on the grass.

Very heavy where I was this morning (D10). Seemed to get lighter as I travelled in D4. If it freezes overnight like its meant to, it could make areas quite dangerous

There's snow need to be jealous. Seriously, let people enjoy their dumping, no matter how small.

    Some snow in Kildare!

If I remember correctly from our bad snow a couple of years ago, Kildare always seemed to be where the trains would get particularly bogged down in the conditions, I presume heavy snow caused this. Any particular reason why snow would be heavier in Kildare?
