make sure you check they are in the EU and not using a .co.uk email address while being based outside the EU

I've been stung a couple of times buying so-called "genuine OEM" batteries from seemingly reputable suppliers, and also buying non-specific replacement batteries from ebay and other places too. I guess the attractive prices swayed me in my decision, but ultimately you get what you (don't) pay for

Recently I've bought a couple of Japcell batteries from batterycity.ie though and have been quite impressed. They hold their charge really well, and don't self-discharge significantly like some of the other rubbish I've bought. I know it sounds like a corny name, but they seem to be a legit company (http://japcell.eu/), and I've bought loads of other kinds of rechargeable batteries (camera, phone, power tools, AA and AAA) from Battery City before and had no problems at all. BTW despite the name, they're actually based in Denmark. They send their stuff out via the cheapest UPS option, so it can take a few days, but P&P is free, so I'm not complaining.

Like I said, Denmark. They have a few other batterycity.xx domains that they use to sell into different countries, but the Danish mother company are called batteribyen.dk.
