Budweiser and Budweiser Light - €24.00 for 24 x 500 ml can in Tesco valid till 31.03

Bulmers - €24.00 for 18 x 500ml Tesco valid till 24.03

Most of those 'special offers' are not very 'special'. I know that in advance of the budget we were predicting on here the demise of the €1 can and it seems to be coming to pass.

I was in Superquinn at lunchtime and they were setting up a display for a mix 'n match 2 for €20 offer on a number of different beers.

From what I could see it was a choice of any 2 packs of 8*500ml cans that included Coors Light, Guinness, Heineken, Bulmers and some others I can't remember now.

Some of these prices like the Supervalue ones don't seem so special (to me).

So is Tesco the only place doing reduced €1 cans? Is it only Bud?

Theyre hasn't been any amazing bargains in months like 12 cans for bulmers for €15. Alcohol has got so expensive since the budget and according to tesco €18 is a good price for 700ml of captain Morgan. Which a litre was nearly always €20

70cl was on offer for €17 in Tesco last week but the offer is over. Stolichnaya is the best though.

70cl Smirnoff is in Tesco and my local Centra, Huzzar €17 in Tesco.

Miller, 20 bottles (300ml) at 15euro in Dunnes Ongar, Dublin 15.

Is bearable stuff if ice cold with a slice of lime. Ah who am I kidding it's awful stuff ... ... But it is cheap!

Tesco, but looking at the website they don't seem to stock Stoli anymore, my local one did recently, probably a matter of checking off licences, Molloy's have it for €23 for a 70cl, which is probably about the usual. Stoli was always the vodka of choice in the 80's and 90's, often mentioned in Russian spy Le Carre novels!

Russian Standard Vodka is €17 for a 70cl in Tesco, my local one is out of stock . When Huzzar is the same price and Smirnoff €18, a steal.
