Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Lucky you!
I went to Cascais last year & loved it. I didn't have teenagers with me so can't comment on night life etc., but the place is buzzing at night. Lots of restaurants & bars everywhere. Lovely beaches, one in the town and several on the Estoril side where there is a lovely promenade that's about 5k long. Again plenty of restaurants and bars along there. There's a casino in Estoril but I didn't venture in there either. Some of the hotels are a bit far out on the west side of town so a lot of walking could be involved. I stayed half way between Cascais ans Estoril and location was perfect.
There are all the usual shops in Cascais, including a new shopping centre and a big hypermarket nearby.
A trip to Lisbon is very easy & cheap on the regular train service from Cascais station. Takes about 30 minutes and a short walk from the station will have you in the centre of Lisbon where the teenagers can shop til they drop in the designer stores! Don't forget to see Belem (in fact I'd nearly take that in as a separate trip).
You can also take a bus trip from Cascais to the World Heritage site Sintra. It's a quaint place in the mountains with lots of castles and a nice old town. The bus goes from the station under the shopping centre regularly, and is very cheap. Also gives you a nice overview of the countryside.
If you're a red wine lover try the Chaminé.
