    Hi guys, as above really!

Looking for some kind of place for individual pictures to be taken, abandoned places, moody areas etc.

They are going to be for press/promotion shots for an EP release if that makes any difference.

    Anybody have any recommendations?

Have a look at some of the photos in the Limerick photo thread. Some good ones there.

What kind of 'moody' are you going for? What kind of genre/style is the band that you are doing the EP shoot for? Photographer here so I may be able to help you out a bit.

Great spot on the Dock Road.

I'm by no means a photographer, so aplogies if my descriptions seem off, but black and white kinda photo's. Its for a music producer, house and techno music.

Out at Lough Gur, some very cool spots around the lake. Maybe up Knockfennell, or the island of Knockadoon (private land, ud need to seek permission) or at Grange Stone Circle.

Again it depends what your looking for.

Clare Glens is like a wonderland of moody scenery.

If you can get access too it, then try the building site next to TX Maxx, or even go along the other side of it and go into the large open plain where funderland usually is. Using the right lighting and post production makes for something very moody, apart from that, look at the wooded areas around the city or anywhere quite industrial, or grungy such as the Raheen Industrial Estate, as posted above, parts of the dock road, or down by the Canal near Grove Island/the Absolute Hotel.

Don't forget your props, if you can use the DJ's etc, and get them to bring their decks it'll make making it look moody a lot easier in post production if you use areas like above. Its usually just a bit of darkening and grunging it up.
