Hi,

I have played it through vlc, windows media, quick time all with the same problem. I downloaded a ki-lite codec pack but I dont know what to do with it. I really want to get it sorted for her because she is watching the walking dead with chipmunk voices which isn't very zombie like!!

The most probable cause is a sound effect being selected in your sound settings.

Control settings -> Sounds -> playback -> speakers(properties) ->
Enhancements -> Disable all enhancement -> apply
