UCD nightlife

    Hi i was just looking to ask anyone who goes to UCD what the nightlife is like? Do people go into dublin for clubbing? One person i know who studies in ucd says they usually just get a carryout and gonto each others rooms as its too expensive to go out to clubs. Is that the case for everyone?

    Hey, the student nightlife in UCD is great! There are loads of student nights every night in town, most of which you can guestlist for (and get into for free) via the inforfree app on facebook!

    Aw thats great, sounds good! Thanks alot. Do u mean town as in dublin city centre or the area in and around UCD? Do you find socialising very expensive?

    In town center... naah not really. Pre drink before you head out (dont get too pissed though- you wont get in then!!). Drinks can be pretty expensive... But it is Dublin City Center, it is expected!

    You can do some pre-drinking in the Pav in Trinity if you want, sell cans for €2 in the bar, then you're on the doorstep of town.

    In terms of general nightlife, depends what scene you're into really.

    Theres very little in the way of socialising around UCD. Your far better off going into town.

    If you have €10 in your pocket you can actually have a fairly decent night out. Pre-Drink with the mates. Then a €2 ride into town on the bus. Most clubs are free in before 12. Then you have enough to buy a top up drink and split a taxi home. Honestly you'd be pressed to spend more than €10 to €15 on a night out, unless your drinking in the club (Expect €4+ per drink)

    Saying that it depends on your outlook, some people prefer to spend their money in town while others pre-drink more. If your girl, no offence ladies, you can probably drink most nights for free (If you wanted to)
