Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

OEM Ink Prices for Home / Small Business Users

I've noticed significant variations in the prices of various branded ink cartridges and dye-sublimation printer consumables.

I've done a quick spreadsheet on consumables I use and prices from a range of suppliers. All the prices include VAT but exclude delivery charges as these can vary a lot. www, mysuresupply.ie deliver free to Ireland and also seem to have generally the best prices (online or in-store) that I can find.

I have no connection other than as a satisfied customer.

Please feel free to comment and / or add your own posts about OEM ink / dye-sub prices

Thats handy alrite. Those printers you have are still very expensive to run though. Its expensive craic filling printers with genuine HP inks.

just to highlight how poor the economy is

take your HP 301xl BK for example; €23.32 for 8ml of ink (which also has a sponge inside so soaks up alot of that). In comparison to a Canon/Brother cart its ridiculous. If you chucked these machines and got a brother or canon single ink tank printer you would save a fortune. They also run the best with compatibles. Ive a pixma ip3600 that I use compatible inks in and for cost and quality it destroys HP.

Its just a thought, Im in the ink business and I hate seen people fork over 50e on two inks. Its hard enough to pay the bills let alone pay for overpiced ink cartridges.

P.S a mention to ink maestro too for your genuine ink. great site and generally the best prices.

I specifically wanted to keep this thread for original supplies as I've had bad (and very expensive) experiences with clones / refills.

inkmaestro OEM supplies are pretty good don't fare too well by comparioson with the site I've listed, with any small differences being more than eliminated by inkmaestro.ie's delivery charges.

There are also conflicts with OEM part nos. on inkmaestro for 2 or 3 items which I've had to leave out of the new comparison.

    Thanks.

Shame they only do HP ink. Would even have been willing to buy some blank HP cd's but their site is badly strung together with menu's leading to items that should be elsewhere etc.

Yeah they're tied to HP as business partner / franchisee.

On www.mysuresupply.co.uk they have a much wider range of products but all HP as well. The Irish site is obviously just a cut-down version of the UK one.

The only one device from HP i was happy with was laptop I bought in 2004, build on Compaq elements but branded as HP. It still works (Pentium4) and is good enough to work with Word documents or internet. Everything else from HP was complete disaster: laptops, desktops, printers and scanners. Software issues in most cases.
