Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    United have been awful

This is one of the worst matches I've seen in a long, long time.

    Great stuff from Vida there.
There's no excuse for us being camped in our own half though. We're not in control at all.

Man this is one boring game of football, which I suppose is to the credit of Reading. Might hit the sack at this rate.

This is one of the worst matches I've seen in a long, long time.

It's the 5.30 effect,we never seem to play well when we are on ESPN.

Finally Buttner injecting a bit of pace.

It's because of daylight savings time, the players internal clocks are getting ready for the hour lost and that's the reason they look a bit jet lagged. It's fascinating stuff.

Can we all just calm the fcuk down?? United are the better team, and are taking it easy. They don't have to do anything special, they are winning and thats the point. They don't have to sprint to the finish, just remain calm and get the 3 points.

Wtf? Nobody is getting worked up but you. As for UTD taking it easy and not needing to do anything special I disagree. What about professionalisim. Reading could easily nick a goal and shut up shop. We should have come racing out of the blocks and killed the game off in the first twenty mins. Instead we looked jaded and disinterested. The work rate is poor also.

If I was a paying customer I would be expecting this to be one of the games where the UTD forwards can fill their boots against a poor side and get a four or five goal haul. I would at least expect desire and hard work. Right now we are getting neither.

Noel Hunt loves to get injured so he can strip off in front of the crowd!

As much as I love Smalling and all, he really doesn't offer half as much as Rafael does down that wing.

If this was LOI game nobody would watch it again.

    Brutal!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

It'll be likely that we'll concede one late in the game and the final 5 minutes will be exciting as we try to get a winner. I'd rather this play out as a boring 1-0 in that case.

De Gea? What are you waiting for?!

Ya won't complain but form is worrying even if we do go 15 points clear. At worst 13

    5 minutes!?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,139 ✭✭✭Red Crow

Where the fcuk does 5 minutes come from?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,058 ✭✭✭finnharpsboy

its always the same with those lowly placed teams at OT.... they sack there manager, are missing a few players who have caused utd a few worries in the past and we end up scraping through by the odd goal or two... nothing to worry about... another step towards supremecy roll on #20

Awful game, worried about RVP. I hope he doesn't do a "Torres" on us. :(

I say 4th official must have been asleep too putting 5 minutes up. Can't blame him. Where ref got 5 I'm not sure

RVP trying to end it with a flourish...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Would have been great for RVP to have scored that. Probably had more time than he thought though.

Crazy to even suggest that imo. Up until about February he was exceptional for us, he won us a crazy amount of games and points. Torres has never had near that sort of form for Chelsea.

He's just off form, no more, no less, he is mortal after all. I've full confidence he'll be banging them in again soon.

Crap game, wish there were a few more goals, but 15 pts clear, happy days.

I dread early goals in United games nowadays. No desire to push on and hammer a team anymore. Just score quickly and sit back.

Indeed it is am I'm delighted with the 3 points.

Still the worst game of football I've seen this season. Utd look as flat as a pancake.

Lack of Kagawa and Carrick was all.

Mmm I'm not so sure. Carrick of course will always be missed with our lack of options as stand in for him. Kagawa, while I love him as a player and have high hopes for him, has been a bit part player at best this season.

A few have lost a bit of form, look a little leg weary, and Utd seem to be content to try and play in cruise control.

I can't really see them picking up form. The league games are dead rubber at this stage, so it's just the F.A. Cup but that isn't what it used to be to win.

Terrible game of football,Reading were honest but poor & we were dragged down to their level. It was like watching Rep.Ireland playing at times.

We shouldn't be panicking and hoofing the ball out of the area in the dying minutes against the likes of Reading.
