Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Johnson really has let the boo boys get inside his head (and he's been ropey anyway recently)

We dont need to play anyone at football. We have enough competition with the pro and anti Rodgers teams tearing strips out of each other.

Maybe someone could open a match thread, you know, for like, football?

He needs game time (and a goal) to get back in the swing.

He missed one league game. It's not like he had a broken leg.

Yep. Supporting Liverpool just seems to be an afterthought for some when the chance arises for a cheap dig

I suppose its nice for Suarez that Johnson is getting all the abuse.

Good work by Jones with that throw.

Heart skips a beat when a high ball goes in to Jones!

Not doing too badly in fairness to him

Johnson's touch has been very poor.

Is anyone else mixing up Sureaz and Coutinho when they are on the ball?

    Very similar styles.

    44%---Ball Possesion---56%
    12
    Goal attempts--5
    7
    Shots on Goal--4
    5
    Shots off Goal--1

Huge swings, just need to keep at it.

Good blocks by Lucas, so far, but his passing is dangerously weak.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,037 ✭✭✭✭niallo27

It justs seem very tame out there. No intensity. Don't seem like a team losing.

    Ah Sturridge, ffs

Whats wrong with the team selection? Yeah, Lucas should be in for Allen, or Hendo if he wants to rest Lucas, but the rest is our best 11 besides Reina and Carra (and frankly, we should be able to rely on Agger and Skrtel, at least one of these need to be bench players next year).

I'd be questioning the players to be honest, Agger, Skrtel, Johnson, Allen and Gerrard are nowhere near the level they should be and have shown us this year.

To be honest I think that we've got away with it a lot this season.

If you're banking on the team you're playing being ****e then the 424/4231 we've played at times is fine but it's volatile and easily countered as Southampton showed today.

Now Lucas is almost good enough that we can pull it off most of the time but we really struggle under pressure in midfield and that's something that Rodgers has seemingly chosen to ignore.

Southampton were never going to be able to keep that pace up but on the flip side, it's down to blind luck that we didn't end up 3 or 4 nil down.
If a proper team really puts us under the sort of pressure that Southampton did I'd be extremely worried, whether or not lucas was in there.

That was excellent from Jones to be fair to him.

Very good save by Jones. Midfield went missing again to allow that attack through.

They have us pressed so far back, we'll be very lucky to grab one more.

Incredibly slim chance of fourth (or even fifth) is gone. Nothing much left to play for now.

Lucas and Skrtel there, what in the ****? You'd think we were cruising 4-0 how casual they were.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

Lucas and Gerrard non existent in the centre. Made it easy for him to get in on goal.

Roll on the summer when we can bring in at least one more CM who is good on grass as well as on paper.
