    The lads out at Spraoi put most of their effort into the Dublin now for two reasons.
    Firstly, the crowds in Dublin are always huge and full of international visitors, which raises awareness about the Waterford festival.

    And secondly, the Dublin Parade Committee fund Spraoi with a hell of a lot of money to provide some of the more impressive sights in the parade.

    And on a side note, I know that the lads are having difficulty with the quay the past few years. The wide street tends to play down the size of floats and take from their impact, and the new roundabout system could potentially cause problems for the larger floats.

    That's the very reason why the parade was moved from the quay to down around the park, and then shifted slightly again.

    And yes, the large fish was not their first choice for this year's Paddy's Day.
