Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Replacement confirmation in my email - for an iPhone in America?!

    Hi all,

I just got a series of emails from apple detailing the Genius Bar transactions for a faulty iPhone 4S in America. First was appointment confirmations and straight away then a confirmation of all work done (replacement in this case) including IMEI numbers, employee that did the replacement, etc.

It was sent to my email address that matches my own apple ID.

I'm wondering if (and how!) I need to contact Apple about this? Have they now somehow added a phone to my Apple ID etc?

I'm going to change my Apple ID password regardless but I'd appreciate some advice on it.

    Thanks!

I had an iPad stolen in the US and a day later an iPad was recovered. Police rang Apple to check serial numbers (Because as a law enforcement agency they actually care and conduct real police work) Apple insisted it was mine, right down to the email address it was linked to. Went down to the station and it most certainly wasn't mine.

So not the first time I've heard of a mix up. I'd still ring them though.
