Word 2007 problem please help

    Every time I try and use a bullet point a line goes above the bullet point that I never put there..

    Uploaded a picture.. the line under it is suppose to be there but the other line that I have a red line around keeps coming up after I place a bullet point...

    do you have underline active in the blank space where the cursor flashes before you place the bullet point?
