Just noticed this. I work retail and we have the tax free shopping form machine for non-eu shoppers as they can claim back tax. Just happened to read the back today and turns out if you are an eu member and you are leaving the eu for 12 months or more you can claim vat back on purchases you export that you bought in the last 3 months ! Might be worth looking into more !
