Opening an account but have no photo ID?

    Hi I have neither an drivers licience or passport (Im irish btw & always lived here)

    Is the ML10 form from the Garda & stamped and signed passport photos of myself acceptable to open an account with bank of ireland?

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    We are delighted to hear you are considering opening an account with us. We can accept valid ML10 forms as photo id for account opening however, as far as we're aware these forms are no longer issued by the Gardai. If you don't currently have one we would suggest contacting the branch you would like to open your account with and they will be more than happy to go through alternative acceptable forms of id that would suit your own particular situation.

    Thanks for the reply, in anticipation of going into open the account iv already visited the local Garda station (wicklow) and they had & filled out the ML10 no problems

    Thanks will make appointment to ope account asap
