    anyone point me in the right direction to get my hands on any of the above for a decent price?
    I'd be looking for large quantities, i.e. 1-4tonne

    You will usually (or often) find topsoil for free in the Buy & Sell if you collect it yourself. Any livestock farmer will give you the manure free if you collect or maybe a small delivery charge. The VW recyling centre do giant bags of decorative stuff for sod all though it may not be what you are looking for.

    if you are getting manure for plants you want aged stuff, not recent stuff iykwim, the older the better

    Looking for say 1 tonne of topsoil, .5 tonne well rotted manure.
    In a few weeks then I'll need around 3 tonne of 20mm sandstone chip or something that looks quite like it.
