To celebrate the centre's 15th anniversary, we are pleased to announce that ConTempo will perform for the first time ever at the Athenry Heritage Centre on Thursday 8 May at 1:00 pm.

The music programme – ‘Traditional in Classical Music...’ – will include music by Hungarian composer Béla Bartók, well known for his traditional and folk music compositions and Antonín Dvořák from Bohemia, who wrote ‘The American String Quartet,’ Op. 96 in F major which is one of the most popular in the chamber music repertoire.

This one hour concert is free, so come along and relax in the ambient setting of St. Mary's Church, Athenry.

I'm looking forward to that market. Something a little different and the layout of the Shambles is perfect for it.
