Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Reclaiming VAT

    Hey guys,

Recently bought a bass off of a company in America, and it arrived, and everything was grand.
Then yesterday I got a letter off of FedEx, looking for €137 for VAT, from when it came into the country.
I'm 18, still in school, and have no job or source of income.
Any way for me to not pay it, or claim it back?

No. But they really should have collected before delivery. Excise duty and or VAT may be payable on any product imported from outside the EU.
