Having read through it, can't say there's anything that would tempt me towards upgrading from the 1st generation other than size.

I'm used to the constant downloading so memory isn't an issue for me, and the backlight I never had a problem with.

don't like the fact it only has 3 data fields, that's a step back from the 4 on. the 1.0.

Having said all that, if buying new, I'd probably let the size factor win out for the few euro more.
