Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Probably not what I would have done, but I can understand it. Green gives extra energy into midfield, and now we have 2 genuine big fuckers up top to try to make the ball stick when we punt it long.

    I'm baffled by that change.

    Can understand putting Green on if he was to shore up the midfield, but a straight swap with Long and leaving Sammon is nonsensical.

    Clock might mean Trap will get away with it but it deserves a lot of criticism.

    Yes, but we also should have taken off one of the two players who look shattered, not the one who still has plenty of running.

    We are still playing 4-4-2. It's literally done nothing for us other than taking off a player who still has some energy in the tank. It doesn't really make sense.

    Sammon is a bigger body than Long. If he's the furthest man forward, slightly better chance of winning, and keeping the ball up there.

    no one said anything about taking an attacking player off if it was sammon because he isnt fit to run at this stage while long was still causing problems for the austrian defense

    McCarthy is a midfielder. Bringing on green shores up the midfield making it harder for Austria to break through.

    Long was taken off because he made a very tired tackle on an Austrian player and got a yellow. He was dead on his feet out there. Green had a good game last week and has been decent here.
