    Or contact K9 tech support.

Mike, I had the same problem, but eventually, I found the info in an old email account that i had used to register to set K9 up. I think I had the option to change my password and was able to re-install from there.

I actually had the same problem on an older PC which I had to re-commision but couldn't remember (or find) what account I used to register it. In the end, I had to reinstall windows on that one as the tcp/ip, network settings etc. had been totally locked up  resetting them from the command line didnt work for me. Nor did revo uninstaller, ccleaner etc.

you can get k-9 to send out a tempory password if you still have access to the email you set up with software

I think avast antivirus is better, you just register via email.
UNLESS you need password protection on your antivirus program,
    for some reason.
ie pc is in an office ,or public place.

i got it sorted with the temp password

i then had no net access-problem was avg

i have opendns but it doesnt block the streaming as good as k9

k9 also has the safe searches

don't suppose theres any cheap way to filter youtube properly

k9 has the youtube safesearch but it doesn't block all the rubbish

If certain videos are rated , you have to login to youtube, with a youtube account to watch them.

    see
    http://support.google.com/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=57709

    Safety mode above.
And you can use safety mode.
some browsers like internet explorer, have options,
content , settings, block, adult content, bad language etc

these settings have a password ,so they cant be changed ,or switched off,
    BY another user.

k9 has the force youtube safety mode option

but seems to let through unsuitable stuff
