Places for a nice drive/rest

Hi all. I'm looking for somewhere to go and get some peace and quiet, while also having a nice drive on the way there.
I was initially thinking taking the ferry across the Suir and going to Hook Head (I know its Wexford), but is there any other nice places along the Waterford coast where I can park up in a quiet place and enjoy the scenery and sea side?

Places that immediately come to mind are Dunmore East, Stradbally, & The Guillamenes, but they're not quite what I'm looking for.
Is there anything out on Brownstown Head?
Oh also, not really looking to go any further than Stradbally as limited on petrol money

Bunmahon beach is beautiful, and would be quiet at this time of year. Carpark beside the playground, climb up the dune, and wow, get hit by the sound of the waves crashing.
If you're coming from Waterford take the Gold coast road from Tramore, great drive.

edit : if you wish to stay in the car, the beach at Annestown has a car park that looks onto the sea I think. There are also lots of coves from there to Stradbally, zoom in on google map to spot them. Ballydwane cove is gorgeous, but you have to get out of the car.
