It was a Dutch research vessel.

Yes, we saw it too. Mr O'Bumble was fascinated, and trying to work out what it does. I just though it looked like a ship.

RV Tridens, Dutch fisheries research vessel. She is taking part in the blue whiting acoustic survey, off the west coast or Ireland and UK. I'm onboard. The Celtic Explorer is also conducting the same survey, but she leaves from Killybegs.
