Is a laser printer better for occasional use?

Finally getting round to replacing my inkjet after it died and am looking at a laser one instead. With the inkjet I found the cartridges drying up if not used frequently. I would be using it for printing text so a black and whit laser is what I'm leaning towards. Would it be better in the long run to get a basic laser…

If you can do without scan/copier funtcions (i.e. some All-in_One), it seems a cheap black (white is already on de paper ) laser printer is exactly what you're looking for.

You can get a very neat Samsung Mono Laser Printer with WiFi for about 99 euro in PCWorld which is good value when you take consumables into account.
