Woo hoo!!! Done, and now I can take my time to fill in application and check it 50 times before Thursday :)

    done.

put the date exactly as on my passport. The question was confusing in that they said like 2014-02-21 but what they meant im presuming is that you had to put the full year i.e not 86 if you were 1986

Then I click it and get this:
    Alert
The 2014 International Experience Canada (IEC) initiative is not open for the Working holiday category. Please refer to the IEC Website for the status of the quota.

Yeah, I know, but I was expecting to be able to select it at least; just not actually submit.... Guess it will have to stay as "Pending" until it officially opens.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,238 ✭✭✭Kaizersoze81

    That was surprisingly painless.

The way the question about how to write your DOB was written was arseways.

  • Registered Users Posts: 92 ✭✭ravingitup

How does it know which category you are applying for? I've filled it all out, but it presumes I'm applying for the working holiday quota.

  • Registered Users Posts: 62 ✭✭Toronto

How could it tell that's the category you were going for, though? How to the YP manage to select theirs? It'd be pretty terrible if Ireland's application process was delayed due to all these new categories, only for them to not show up on the online form.

It was supposed to be YYYY-MM-DD, right? Oh god, I've probably read it all wrong and ruined my chances of going to Canada. D:

I opened a Kompass account before and it actually asked to tick the box of which visa was being applied for. This time, it didn't ask that.
