This is it mickman, the start of the run in, they are all massive games at this stage, and of the 8 I reckon we need to win 5 and get 2 draws along the way which would give us 71 points. I think we might beat swansea 2-1 this weekend, assuming Bale is fit.

Lennon has groin and hammy problems. He is unlikely to be involved ( hope i'm wrong though!). When Lennon isn't playing our formation goes out the window as shown in last 3 games....pray he's fit

I agree with Hatch. 5 wins needed, one of which really has to be this one considering who we still have to play. This is where AVB earns his salt. It's great being a manager of a winning team but when that team stops winning things become a lot more difficult. Let's hope he rises to the occasion.

Yep, Lennon injured, Bale gone central and Townsend out on loan = No width

I'd almost put Bale back on the left or play Walker on the right wing

Win, hoping Swansea will become complacent after their cup win. A point is useless.

Already suffering intermittent bouts of anxiety over this game. Please god give us a win.

You gotta love the run in :D
I believe we can make 4th.
AVB will steady the ship for the run in.
He reckons we need 16pts from 24pts available to make 70pts.
I admire how he has given everybody a fair go this season and even if we don't make 4th, this season will hold us in great stead for the next.
We can win at Swansea. I remember Everton made them look average earlier in the season.
    2-1 Spurs ;)
    Dawson to rule Supreme!
I have a sneaky feeling Reading might hold on for a draw at Emirates!

    !

Totally Agree, all the times we followed Spurs with nothing to play for, just mid table crap. It may not be for the faint hearted but it goes with the territory of being a Spurs Fan:D:D:)

    Spurs to win 3-1

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,443 ✭✭✭jobeenfitz

As a Spurs fan you have to be excited about the run-in. It is hard on the nerves though when its level and ten mins to go in games. My biggest wish for next season is a top class striker so that we can win games by big margins when we are on top in games. We just dont do that. Its always down to the wire nervy stuff. Please Please Daniel buy a fu*kn top striker this summer.

    Seriously?

    Seriously?

    Seriously?

Have we all forgotten how bad we were in the last two games? We need 5-6 wins and 1 or 2 draws from 8; that's title winning form. We are a million miles from on that at the moment.
I expect another indifferent performance and would bite your arm off for a draw right now - at least that result would stop the rot.

I do think AVB will sort us out but 8 games is 1 or 2 games too few. Have to hope Arsenal or Chelsea start f.cuking up too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,443 ✭✭✭jobeenfitz

Chelsea have a bigger pile up in games with FA cup and europa league llike ourselves. Arsenal can beat teams by big scores and fcuk up next time. They have Wilshere and Walcott out and hopefully Reading with a new manager can over achieve tomorrow. Spurs have no injuries to worry about (except for Sandro) so even though its no gimme I think we should be able to beat Swansea. If we hadn't given the points to Liverpool and played Fulham wrecked after euro debacle we would be favourites for this one. No point in being downbeat before the game. Of course its possible it could go either way!
